Our company is looking for a Transportation Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work regular/overtime hours depending on the season (Spring Planting & Harvest);
  • Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered goods;
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles;
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions, and routes;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Light Maintenance: changing light bulbs, batteries in smoke detectors and thermostats, etc;
  • Accompany residents on shopping trips and provide assistance as needed;
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures for proper vehicle maintenance;
  • Accept on-call responsibilities as assigned by supervisor;
  • Arrange transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips;
  • Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle;
  • Report back to the supervisor when clients have been dropped off at their destination;
  • Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor;
  • Safely moves vehicles between airport and off-airport locations;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high energy.

Requirements:

  • Workers subject to weather conditions including snow and ice;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Incident free driving record preferred;
  • Must be at least 20 years of age;
  • Basic computer skills preferred;
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record;
  • Basic math;
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent;
  • MUST have a current valid driver’s license, and be able to drive a manual transmission;
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Knowledge of and compliance of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, as well as State and/or Local Department of Motor Vehicle regulations;
  • May be subject drug and alcohol, medical exams and physical agilities testing;
  • Flexibility in scheduling which may include nights weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to communicate using two-way radio;
  • Work requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English in order to understand work, safety instructions and comply with DOT.
