Transporter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Transporter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures and protect company assets;
- Maintain courteous and professional behavior & appearance;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high energy;
- Will pick-up and drop-off customers as required;
- Transports vehicles from Hertz Local Edition offices to various locations;
- Must interface with vendors such as body shops, dealerships, and insurance agents;
- Safely moves vehicles between airport and off-airport locations;
- Provide outstanding customer service;
- Transports vehicles safely within the airport to various service areas;
- Maintains a variety of records, such as time at each stop, purpose of trip, number of passengers per day, mileage, and vehicle maintenance;
- Member transportation to and from airports (primarily Truckee and Reno);
- Assisting in other Transportation/Men’s Locker Room needs as assigned;
- Cleaning, fueling, and maintaining vehicle;
- Assisting members with luggage and equipment during pick up and drop off.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 20 years of age;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Must have access to a computer and telephone to contact clients and document services provided;
- Valid Drivers license with good driving record and proof of insurance;
- Must be able to carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management due to operational needs;
- Ability to anticipate our member’s needs;
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record;
- Effective verbal communication skills with customers, co-workers and management;
- Must provide a copy of clean DMV record upon offer of employment;
- Must be able to work outside year-round;
- Must be safety minded, both in driving and in proper lifting mechanics;
- Must be over 21;
- Ability to sit for 4-5 hours at a time;
- Ability to safely lift/carry/move up to 50 pounds to get member bags/equipment in and out of the vehicle.
