TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified IMC RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26506!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Stepdown / IMC / PCU
Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Stepdown and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 (Stepdown) or 1:5–6 (EMU floor)
Care for higher-acuity neuroscience patients including those with strokes, seizures, craniotomies, and post-surgical diagnoses
Implement and document NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments as part of ongoing neurological monitoring
Administer and monitor set-rate and protocol-driven drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin per physician orders
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Charge Nurses (available 24/7), Respiratory Therapy, and nurse aides
Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule) and holiday rotation as required
Active RN license in good standing (any license issues must be disclosed at time of submission)
Strong neuro experience with a demonstrated history of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH Stroke Scale assessments
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
COVID-19 vaccination required (fully vaccinated); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted with appropriate documentation
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a stepdown environment
Work within a specialized Neuroscience Stepdown unit supported by a Charge Nurse 24/7, dedicated nurse aides, and Respiratory Therapy available around the clock
Gain experience in a high-acuity neuroscience environment including exposure to an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute inpatient care
