Head of Recruiting & HR

Our recruiting team is partnering with a well-established hospitality organization to identify an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead company-wide HR strategy and operations across its corporate office and multiple hotel properties.

This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for an HR professional who can operate strategically while remaining highly hands-on. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer , this individual will partner with executive leadership and property-level leaders to strengthen talent strategy, employee engagement, compliance, leadership development, and HR operations.

Strategic HR Leadership & Compliance

Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Present HR metrics, trends, and initiatives to senior operational leadership.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Lead responses to EEOC matters, employee relations risks, and labor-related issues.

Evaluate and improve HR technology, systems, forms, policies, and workflows.

Talent Acquisition & Development

Lead recruiting efforts for management and leadership positions across corporate and hotel operations.

Develop learning and development initiatives that create opportunities for internal advancement.

Build talent pipelines for critical leadership and operational positions.

Employee Relations & Culture

Serve as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders, Regional Directors, General Managers, and department leaders.

Coach managers through performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters.

Support internal HR communications and initiatives designed to strengthen organizational culture.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Partnership

Lead annual benefits planning and health insurance renewals.

Partner with brokers, carriers, claims representatives, and other benefits partners.

Review compensation adjustments and help identify and address pay equity concerns.

Partner with payroll on terminations, resignations, PTO, unemployment claims, and related HR matters.

7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.

At least 3 years of HR leadership experience .

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of employment law, EEOC requirements, benefits administration, compensation, labor budgeting, and HRIS platforms.

Demonstrated experience leading employee relations matters and workplace investigations.

Strong executive presence with excellent coaching, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Raleigh-Durham area .

This is an on-site position.
