Hiring for an Urgent Clinical Receptionist in New Haven!

A growing multi-specialty medical practice is seeking a Clinical Receptionist / Intake Coordinator to support patient intake and administrative operations within a busy healthcare environment. In this role, you will work closely with new patients, manage incoming records, support referral processes, and help ensure a smooth front desk and administrative experience. This position is ideal for someone with prior medical office experience who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable handling patient-facing administrative responsibilities.

Obtain, review, and organize patient medical records and charts in a timely and accurate manner.

Manage patient records and patient data, ensuring information is complete and up to date.

Support front desk operations and administrative workflows across a busy medical practice.

Schedule patient appointments and manage patient communication by phone and other channels.

Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records systems and patient charts.

Collaborate closely with clinical secretaries and administrative staff across multiple office locations.

Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Assist with basic project management tasks related to administrative processes and workflow improvements.

Minimum 2 years of medical office or healthcare administrative experience.

Experience in patient intake, scheduling, referrals, or front desk coordination.

Ability to manage patient records, patient charts, and patient data accurately and confidentially.

Experience in other healthcare or dental office settings is welcomed.

Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.

Experience supporting front desk and administrative workflows in a clinical setting.

Exposure to project management activities related to administrative operations.

This role is based in an office environment within a busy multi-specialty medical practice. You will work in a fast-paced healthcare setting that requires frequent interaction with patients, clinical secretaries, and administrative staff across multiple office locations. The position involves extensive use of office and administrative technologies, including electronic medical records systems and scheduling tools. This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT.
