Special Education Teacher – Elementary Autistic Support

Devereux is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide services within Neshaminy School District's Elementary Autistic Support Program .

Schedule: Full-Time, 10-Months: M-F: 8:20-3:35 pm . This position is aligned with the school calendar with opportunities for extended school year program in summer break

Deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Create a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment for elementary-aged students with autism.

Collaborate with related service providers, school staff, and families to support student growth and achievement.

Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) provides support to schools around early learning, academic interventions, safety practices and the assessment and treatment of students with complex behaviors, cognitive challenges and communication needs. We use evidence-based practices with an emphasis on assisting school systems with special education populations.

#Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field required , Master’s degree in special education preferred.

PA Department of Education certification as teacher preferred .

At least one year (1) of experience in an educational setting working with individuals with autism and/or other special education populations.

Must be able to present through verbal and written communication, as well as develop visual media
