Bookeeper (Accounting/Finance)

Job Purpose:

- The Bookkeeper at CITY WIDE FACILITY SOLUTIONS will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries, to support the financial health and integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
• Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Handle inquiries related to financial transactions and provide solutions as needed.

Requirements

Required Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
• Proven experience with accounting software and databases, such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data management and financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues effectively.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and external partners.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
