Full-Time Mental Health Counselor !

Optima Healing and Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Professional responsible for providing high-quality, client-centered therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families in an outpatient setting. This position involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and documenting all clinical services provided. The Behavioral Health Professional will work collaboratively with the Clinical Director and other members of the clinical team to ensure the highest standard of care. Additionally, the Counselor will contribute to the development and improvement of clinical programming and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation requirements.
Position is contract with flexible hours and the opportunity to expand to full-time.
We are able to provide supervision for LMSWs, LCPCs, and CPC Interns.
Ability to travel up to 45 minutes for off-site programs periodically required.

Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders with appropriate interventions.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff, providing consultation on challenging cases and assisting with case conceptualization.
Engage in case consultations and treatment team meetings to ensure the provision of high-quality care.
Contribute to the development of group curricula and other therapeutic programming to meet client needs.
Stay current on the latest treatment modalities and incorporate them into therapy sessions as appropriate.
Compliance and Quality Improvement
Ensure all therapeutic services are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational standards.
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
Assist in preparing for regulatory and accrediting body reviews as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field.
Participate in regular clinical supervision and coaching sessions to enhance therapeutic skills.
Maintain all required licensure and certifications and participate in continuing education as required by state regulations and organizational policy.
Master’s degree or current enrollment in a master’s program in counseling, social work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
Licensed as a mental health professional in Nevada
Preferred experience working with individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and ability to meet documentation standards.
Knowledge and application of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic practices, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Capable of developing and implementing creative solutions to address client and clinical challenges.
Ability to perform the physical tasks typical of a therapy position, such as sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and interacting with clients.
Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
