Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients, with an emphasis on post-operative recovery.
Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and post-operative recovery patients.
Float to various departments as needed, within scope of practice.
Ensure patient safety and comfort while administering care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the EPIC charting system.
Patient Care Ratios
The patient-to-nurse ratio on this unit is 1:5 for medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications

Must hold a current nursing license.
At least 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical setting required.
Oncology experience preferred but not mandatory for general applicants.
BLS Certification is required.
Orientation and Certification
All new hires must pass an open book exam on skills learned during orientation. A score of 90% or higher is required to remain employed.
Fingernail Policy
Artificial nails are not permitted for nurses providing patient care. Failure to comply will result in contract termination.
Shift Information
This position will require 12-hour night shifts.
Additional Information
The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts within a 13-week assignment. In assignments of less than 13 weeks, up to three shifts may be canceled.
