Produces machined parts, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; maintaining equipment and supplies

• *1st Shift - 4:00AM - 2:30PM**
• *2nd Shift Openings - 2:30PM - 10:30PM**

Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; Produce parts by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; Works with sheet metal and plastics

Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes

Inspects parts and change or correct process layouts for parts

Maintains safe operations by adhering to OSHA safety procedures and regulations

Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; Documents actions by completing production and quality logs

High School diploma or GED required

3 to 5 years of experience on CNC machines required

CNC Vertical Mills and Horizontal Mills

The normal work environment is typical of a machine shop with many moving parts and is typically noisy

over 50 pounds with assistance

While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions.
