Construction Law Attorney

We are seeking an experienced construction law attorney to join a team in an Of Counsel or senior associate capacity. The right candidate is someone who is energized by seeing work through to completion, brings creative thinking to complex problems, who takes pride in supporting clients and colleagues alike, and who is ready to grow with a firm that is building something exceptional. There are possible partnership opportunities at some future point.

Practice Area Focus

Primary focus on construction law; surety law experience is a strong plus

Litigation experience is required; candidates with transactional-only or contract-only backgrounds are not a fit for this role

Experience with public/private construction projects, bonding disputes, and/or contractor claims is preferred

Business law experience is a welcome addition

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction law

Active member of the Georgia Bar

Demonstrated litigation experience in construction-related matters

Surety law background preferred but not required

A self-starter who can identify issues, exercise sound judgement, and take initiative

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work both independently and wants to be part of a collaborative team in a small firm setting

Compensation and Structure

Target compensation: $175,000, structured on a draw against earnings model with quarterly true-ups

Compensation is performance-tied to existing book of business and collections

Employment status: preferred 1099 contractor

Work arrangement: prefer in-office but open to hybrid arrangement

North Atlanta, Georgia area preferred

Collaborative, positive, small-team environment with direct access to firm partners
