Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Care - Nights

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Advanced Care team! Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
The Advanced Care Unit is a 20-bed unit that serves acute and/or chronically ill patients requiring close observation, management, and monitoring. We care for patients having acute MI’s, unstable arrhythmias, or require temporary pacemakers. Patients having respiratory distress-requiring bipap or hi flo. Medical patients such as GIB, DKA, or pulmonary hypertension. We also care for vascular surgical patients such as CEA’s, LE bypass, endovascular AAA. Nurse-patient ratios 3:1 or 2:1. Work Schedule: 0.75 FTE, Rotating Day/Night 12-hour shifts and every third weekend
Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing. Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
Recommended 1+ year of acute care hospital RN experience.
