Lead Barista - Evening shift

Original X Productions are the operators of worldwide location based entertainment experiences including The FRIENDS TM Experience, and Hershey Super Sweet Adventure. OGX is seeking a Lead Barista to be the front line supervisor for its Café Operations at the NYC Flagship location. The Lead Barista will be responsible for the daily oversight, training, and development of team members, and delivering exceptional Guest Experience. This part-time position pays $21.00 per hour.

Implement operations policies, processes, procedures, and standards as it relates to the café and overall food/beverage department

Train and develop a world-class retail café operations team

Actively participate in defining the team culture and incorporating it into the café operations

Assist in establishing basic personnel standards for the café and overall food/beverage department

Be part of the LOD (Leader on Duty) retail café rotation

Assess the effectiveness of the team, providing feedback to management, and enforcing disciplinary actions as outlined in the employee handbook and training

Oversee inventory levels; notify upper management of re-order needs to ensure smooth operation

Must possess NYC Food Handler’s Certificate

Must be able to work a minimum of three shifts, one of which must be a weekend day

Must be able to frequently move food service inventory and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds

Must be able to move about inside the retail coffee shop space

Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

2+ years of experience in food and beverage service/industry; previous café/barista experience a plus

• High school diploma (or its equivalent), some college is preferred (current students welcome to apply)
• One year of supervisory or management experience
