Roadway Design Engineer

As the Lead Roadway Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing roadway design projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, collaborating with clients, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and by regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong background in roadway design, project management, and team leadership.

Serving as a professional engineer discipline lead managing roadway design projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints for on projects of varying size and scope.

Mentoring and providing direction to junior staff and design/drafters, development of project plans and schedules, managing production and ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices including quality and safety standards.

Performing various roles on multi-disciplined projects including QA/QC reviewer, technical advisor, design leader and/or client facing project manager.

Preparation of written reports, calculations and other design documentation.

4+ years of experience in roadway design and project management.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer
• Experience with MDOT bid document preparation utilizing ORD and other software

Engineering experience with infrastructure design, which includes extensive experience in the preparation of construction plans, technical reports, construction estimates, and project displays.

Experience with MDOT design standards, practices, and policies.

AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills are a plus
