Machine Design Engineer

Job Description Company: Reputable and growing company in the Holland, MI area. Overview: Join a dynamic team as a Mechanical Project Engineer responsible for designing and enhancing machinery using SolidWorks software. Responsibilities: Create, design, and layout custom automation equipment based on engineering principles and expertise. Conceptualize machine designs and select appropriate materials. Develop detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks software. Size mechanical components such as pumps, gears, pulleys, sheet metal, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping. Provide support for machine assembly and troubleshooting. Desired Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree. Previous experience as a Machine Designer, ideally in material handling, assembly, or automation sectors. Proficiency in SolidWorks; familiarity with Inventor, CREO, Pro-E, AutoCAD, or other 3D design software beneficial. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and servos advantageous. Strong technical aptitude, team-oriented mindset, and meticulous attention to detail. Project Engineering or structural design experience a plus. Must be a US citizen or possess a Green Card.
