A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Probate Litigation Paralegal to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys meaningful client interaction.

About the Role

The Probate Litigation Paralegal will play a key role supporting attorneys through all phases of probate and trust litigation, including will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary matters, and estate administration disputes. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare probate petitions, accountings, inventories, and related court filings
Manage case files from intake through resolution, including calendaring and deadline tracking
Conduct legal research on probate, trust, and estate-related matters
Draft discovery requests, responses, and correspondence
Prepare for hearings, mediations, and depositions, including assembling exhibits and binders
Communicate directly with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and coordinate next steps
Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, financial institutions, and third parties
Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit organization
Support attorneys with day-to-day case management and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For:
Experience: Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on probate litigation, trust litigation, or estate disputes
Certification: Paralegal certification required (valid certificate must be provided prior to hire)
Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of probate code, court procedures, and probate-specific filing requirements
Client-Facing Skills: Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused demeanor
Technical Skills: Proficiency with case management software, e-filing systems, Microsoft Office, and legal research platforms (Westlaw or LexisNexis)
Work Style: Self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and works well both independently and as part of a team
Attention to Detail: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for accuracy
