Estimator Sports Construction

Job Overview A Mascot Holdings, LLC Estimator’s job is analyzing bid requirement documents, blueprints, schematic drawings and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the projects available for bid. Creating estimates of probable labor, material, and equipment costs and timelines for the services proposed, and preparing cost analysis to present to managers and owners for approval to move forward with a project bid. To manage and co‑ordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.

Estimator Duties and Responsibilities Establish and maintain tendering processes and advise on tendering procedures. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.

Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project.

Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors.

Manage bids from vendors and contractors.

Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis.

Conduct site walks.

Participate in assigned training.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment, and subcontracts for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications.

Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.

Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project.

Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

Estimator Qualifications and Skills Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.

Knowledge of the latest building codes.

Knowledge of PlanSwift or other takeoff software systems.

Education and Certification Requirements A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, architecture, or a similar field is required.
