Full Time LMFT - Remote position

Maple Valley Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote outpatient team. As a Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will enjoy a flexible work environment that allows you to balance personal and professional commitments. You will interact with clients through various virtual platforms, maintaining a supportive atmosphere while utilizing tools that enhance your therapeutic interactions. Our outpatient office is designed to support collaboration and innovation among our therapists, even in a remote setting.

Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each family or couple, regularly evaluating progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.

Facilitate therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue, providing education about behavioral patterns and their impacts on relationships.

Guide clients through various therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family systems theory, to promote healing and communication.

Document therapy sessions meticulously, maintaining compliance with state regulations and organizational standards for confidentiality and client care.

You will work primarily with families and couples facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to communication issues, parenting concerns, grief and loss, trauma, mental health disorders, and situational conflicts. A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure.

Strong knowledge of family therapy principles and a deep understanding of various psychological theories.

Proficient in utilizing telehealth platforms and digital tools for effective virtual therapy sessions.

Previous experience within outpatient settings, particularly in roles focused on family counseling or couple’s therapy.

Familiarity with cultural competency training, allowing for tailored therapy styles that respect and understand diverse client backgrounds.
