Estimator Analysis

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing construction organization in Palm Beach County. This individual will play a key role in preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing construction costs, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and supporting the successful execution of commercial and/or residential construction projects. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and collaboration are essential.

Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.

Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and pricing requirements.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing.

Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.

Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and estimate documentation.

Collaborate with project managers, operations, purchasing, and preconstruction teams throughout the bidding process.

Identify potential project risks and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

Maintain current pricing databases and monitor market trends affecting labor and material costs.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.

Assist with value engineering initiatives and alternative cost proposals.

Support contract negotiations and project handoff to operations after project award.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of estimating experience within commercial, residential, or general construction.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.

Experience preparing conceptual, hard bid, negotiated, and GMP estimates.

Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Experience working closely with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and project management teams.
