Managing Head of Retail Sales

Hamilton Connections is looking for a Sales Manger for a busy manufacturing company in the Great Waterbury area. We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Sales Manager to spearhead new business development across the New England territory and US. This is a high-impact, hunter-oriented role for a sales professional who thrives on building relationships from the ground up and converting prospects into long-term customers selling a compelling, full-service solution rather than a single commodity product. Represent a 60+ year ISO-certified manufacturer with a broad, differentiated capability set that sets APP apart from single-service competitors
Leverage APP's deep engineering, materials, and value-added services expertise as a powerful competitive selling advantage
Custom plastic injection molding low to high-volume production runs, 55 to 400-ton machine capacity
In-house tooling and mold building custom mold design, development, testing, and prototyping
Broad resin expertise commodity grades (PP, PE, PS), engineering grades (ABS, PC, Nylon), and specialty materials including polysulfone, isoplast, and custom-filled compounds with fiberglass, minerals, and stainless steel
Assembly & Packaging including kit assembly and point-of-sale display production
UV Laser Printing & Pad Printing custom artwork and marking directly on molded parts
Plastic Shrink Wrapping retail and industrial packaging solutions
KANBAN Inventory Management streamlined supply chain and replenishment programs
Off-Site Warehousing & 3PL Logistics finished goods storage and fulfillment services
2-4+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within plastic injection molding, custom manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or a related industrial/technical sector
- Demonstrated success in a hunter sales role identifying, pursuing, and closing new accounts
- Experience selling into Medical, Military/Defense, Automotive, Electronics, or Industrial markets is a strong plus
- Familiarity with injection molding processes, thermoplastic materials, or manufacturing concepts preferred; Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
