Security Professional - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer Level III Armed Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a retail location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards.

Monitor entrances, exits, high‑traffic areas, and cash‑handling locations to help support security‑related procedures, access control, and loss prevention efforts.

Carry authorized armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, while maintaining professionalism during interactions with the public and store personnel.

Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
