Our client in the Sacramento area, a well-established and growing leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Partner with experience in Leave Administration and Workers' Compensation Management. This role is primarily onsite, with the potential for a hybrid schedule (1-2 remote days per week) after the initial training period.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims and overseeing all leave of absence processes, ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations.

The qualified candidate will have at least three years of experience facilitating workers' compensation and leave management with excellent communication skills. Manage the FMLA leave administration process from initial notice to the return to work

Advise managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits

Draft and/or recommend revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Maintain complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices

Preserve confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files

Maintain knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws

Manage workers' compensation claims from start to finish, including reporting, managing follow up appoints with the employees, and tracking claims, and facilitate employee return to work

Conduct regular audits and reviews of workers' compensation claims data to identify trends, and patterns

Work with third party administrators, the Safety Department, the Finance and Accounting Department, insurance companies to assist with detailed claims management

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with leave of absence management and worker's compensation

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience working with insurance providers, legal professionals, and healthcare providers related to workers' compensation claims
