Associate Attorney - HealthcareLocations: San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Orange County, CAA well-established law firm is seeking a Healthcare Associate Attorney (3-7 years of experience) to join its Healthcare Practice Group. This position offers the opportunity to advise hospitals, health systems, medical staffs, and peer review bodies on complex healthcare matters involving patient safety, medical staff governance, credentialing, privileging, regulatory compliance, administrative proceedings, and related litigation.This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys tackling sophisticated legal issues, working closely with healthcare clients, and helping organizations navigate matters where fairness, due process, patient care, and regulatory compliance are critical.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise healthcare clients on medical staff governance, healthcare regulatory compliance, and operational mattersRepresent hospital medical staffs, medical executive committees, and peer review bodies in a variety of proceedingsHandle issues related to credentialing, privileging, peer review, physician discipline, and fair hearing processesConduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, briefs, bylaws, policies, and other legal documentsAnalyze complex statutes, regulations, bylaws, accreditation standards, policies, and procedural requirementsSupport litigation, administrative law matters, professional licensing issues, compliance counseling, and risk management initiativesQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State Bar3-7 years of legal experienceStrong legal research, analytical, and writing skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex factual and legal issuesExperience in healthcare regulatory work, litigation, administrative law, employment law, professional licensing, compliance counseling, or related practice areas is preferredExperience advising hospitals, health systems, medical staffs, physician groups, or healthcare providers on credentialing, peer review, medical staff affairs, hospital governance, or patient safety matters is a plusPrior healthcare law experience is preferred but not requiredBenefitsCompetitive Compensation PackageBase Salary: $200,000 - $260,000, commensurate with experience and qualificationsEligible for annual performance-based bonus opportunitiesAssociates who meet the annual billable requirement may earn a bonus equal to 15% of base salaryBenefitsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance and Long-Term Disability Coverage401(k) Retirement PlanGenerous Paid Time OffProfessional DevelopmentBar Dues and CLE ReimbursementStructured In-House Mentorship ProgramBillable Hours Expectation1,850 annual billable hoursIncludes up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work
