This position is a Supply Specialist in our Space and Defense Group, based in East Aurora, NY, reporting to the Supply Chain Procurement Manager and working on first shift in a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities Support supplier management, supply chain/procurement strategy and planning/execution.

Conduct new supplier evaluation, manage existing suppliers and resolve sourcing issues using Supplier Business Reviews.

Support proposal efforts including supplier selection and negotiations of supplier agreements.

Collaborate with all functions to ensure conforming Source of Supply (quality, design, cost, and timing).

Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, aid business performance and pursue continuous improvement.

Drive supplier engagement, RFQs, pricing analysis, and Purchase Order placement with precision and urgency.

Research and evaluate new or alternate sources to reduce costs.

Maintain part planning parameters and coordinate with suppliers on lead times and planning information.

Convert demand signals into Purchase Orders in accordance with contractual terms and Moog systems.

Create Sole Source Justification and Price Analysis documents supporting Government DFAR regulations.

Obtain delivery commitments from suppliers and keep the site updated.

Support supplier non‑conformance and return-to-vendor (RTV) processes.

Identify and resolve deviations to contractual terms and conditions.

Lead cross‑functional problem‑solving initiatives to remove supply constraints.

Communicate effectively within and outside the supply chain function, including escalations to leadership.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in a supply chain/procurement focused role, OR an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

Experience negotiating with vendors on supply/procurement issues.

Knowledge of or experience with FAR/DFAR requirements.

Knowledge of procurement processes including purchase order placement and schedule management.

APICS Certification or other relevant industry certifications in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Program Management preferred.

Experience leading strategic supply chain initiatives is a plus.

Salary Buffalo, NY – $80,000.00–$100,000.00 annually (base salary; actual salaries vary based on location, experience, and performance).
