RN Nursing Director ICU

Director ICU (RN Required)
Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011 Work Model: Onsite (Hospital) Type: Full-Time
To provide strategic and operational leadership for the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient critical care services. This role will be responsible for driving clinical excellence, strengthening quality outcomes, building and developing high-performing teams, and supporting collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary departments. The ideal candidate is an accomplished ICU nurse leader with strong experience in critical care operations, quality initiatives, and team developmentpreferably within a for-profit hospital environment.
Provide operational and clinical leadership for the ICU ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered critical care delivery.
Build, develop, and lead teams focused on quality improvement initiatives, performance metrics, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing teams, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments to meet ICU goals and standards.
Monitor ICU performance, compliance, staffing, workflows, and efficiency; implement improvements to optimize care delivery and outcomes.
Support strategic planning and quality initiatives aligned with hospital objectives and regulatory requirements.
Strengthen communication, engagement, accountability, and staff development within the ICU team.
Facilitate collaboration and relationships with providers/physicians to support high-quality critical care services.
Active (or eligible) New Mexico RN License (required)

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (required)
• 7+ years of healthcare experience
• Experience working in a for-profit hospital environment (strongly preferred)
• Proven experience building and leading teams focused on quality initiatives
• MSN, Healthcare Administration, MBA
