Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Connecticut team. This hybrid position is primarily focused on legal document review, analysis, and quality oversight, while also providing opportunities to support litigation matters and make court appearances as needed.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional legal research and writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload. This role requires an attorney who can independently assess and triage matters, identify potential legal or procedural issues, and ensure documents are accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with applicable requirements.

Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of legal documents, pleadings, filings, and case materials for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Identify and resolve legal, procedural, or documentation issues requiring attorney review
Conduct legal research and provide clear, well-supported written analysis and recommendations
Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
Support litigation matters throughout the case lifecycle
Collaborate with attorneys, operational teams, clients, courts, and other stakeholders to ensure matters progress efficiently
from an accredited law school
Minimum of two years of legal experience
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of pleadings, court filings, and litigation procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify legal and procedural issues
Ability to exercise sound legal judgment and escalate matters appropriately
This position will begin on-site to allow for comprehensive training, integration with the team, and familiarity with the Firm's processes and procedures. Upon successful completion of the training period, the role will transition to a hybrid work arrangement.
While the primary focus of the position is legal document review and analysis, the Associate Attorney will also support litigation matters and must maintain flexibility to attend court proceedings and work on-site as business and case needs require.

Brock & Scott, PLLC offers an attractive benefit package to full-time employees on the 1st of the following month of hire. The insurance portion includes medical, dental, voluntary life, voluntary vision, and critical illness, all at competitive rates. At the 90-day introductory period, the Firm also provides a basic life insurance policy in the amount of one time your annual salary (with a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $200,000.00) at no cost.
Full-time attorneys receive paid holidays, including six (6) firm-recognized holidays and one (1) Day of Observance, as well as a premium PTO package of 18 days per year. PTO accrues monthly and is credited on the 15th of each month, in accordance with firm policy. Drug testing is conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been extended and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
