For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has

specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and

part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal

Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Environmental

Protection Agency (EPA). These experienced professionals provide administrative,

scientific, and technical support to the Environmental Protection Agency through

the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program.

Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium for positions budgeted at 60+ hours per

pay period, Accrued Vacation and Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, and optional

Vision and Dental Insurance available for positions budgeted at 35+ hours per

pay period.

Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is

temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is

an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate

enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the

Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through

a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 year(s) of experience in Designing Scientific Literature Review

Strategic and Acquisition; Data Extraction and Summary Demonstrated technical

writing/communication skills, Demonstrated project management skills; and

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite OR HS/GED Degree in Library Science,

Business Management, General Studies

Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Copying

Machine, Multiple Phone Lines, Scanner

Duties:

This individual will provide high-level, professional support to two branches in

the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP).

Provide independent, high level support to the Branch Chiefs including

coordinating and scheduling Branch meetings and managing calendars. Prepare for

meetings by creating Excel spreadsheets, providing briefing materials, and

technically edit PowerPoint presentations and other Microsoft documents when

needed. Ensure specific equipment is ready for meetings. Manage travel and

accommodations for meetings, conferences, transportation (airline and ground),

and hotels, for the Branch Chiefs and staff. Prepare travel authorizations and

vouchers in automated system 30%

Manage conference room calendars, assisting staff in reserving rooms via

email and in person. Welcomes guests and internal/external customers by greeting

them in person or on the telephone and responds to inquiries. 20%

Processing and oversight of Official Records Documents and support of

Records Management Tasks (inventory and disposition). 15%

Deals with a wide variety of situations requiring a high degree of tact,

maturity and sensitivity. Ability to properly handle information/documentation

containing sensitive and/or confidential data (transporting and/or copying

materials related to human resources matters). 10%

Independently determine office supply needs based on inventory of supplies

and staff requests. Consolidate, run a cost comparison, and then prepare supply

requests for the division for approval; Acts as the lead in the distribution and

storage of supplies. Conduct inventory periodically. 10%

Receive, sorts and distributes incoming mail for the office. Receive

telephone calls, refer callers and visitors to the appropriate party, and

provide information directly to maximum extent possible. 5%

Information Management - Understands the principles of Systematics Review

and assists Division Technical Teams (Tech Teams) in conducting literature

searches for data and research studies using criteria provided by Technical

Teams. Assists Assessment Leads (and their respective team members) in

creating/updating reference lists for Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Work

Plan Chemical Assessment documents using Endnote (or similar software.) Assists

the Branches in maintaining web presence (internal and external) by uploading

information to Division Share Point site; gathers data/documents from staff for

updating the Divisions? presence on external websites. Knowledge of library

science preferred. 5%

Miscellaneous - Conducts research and gathers data and materials for special

projects initiated by the Health and Effects Division?s and the Risk Assessment

Division?s Immediate Offices. 5%

Other:

Agency mandated training on-line meeting on an as requested basis i.e., IT

Security Training and Records Management Training
