Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and aspirations.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to elevate your skills and knowledge in mental health.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigmas and ensuring their needs are met with compassion and understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Health Journey Wellness, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Your role will involve providing empathetic support and effective treatment for those facing significant life challenges, including mental health crises, trauma recovery, and socio-economic difficulties. You will play an essential role in guiding clients toward recovery and greater emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trustful relationships with clients.
• A strong sense of empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle a diverse workload efficiently.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary in the range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
