Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to develop personalized treatment plans enhancing client-centered care, including pre-crisis and crisis plans.
• Document all interactions and treatment progress accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize established evidence-based screening tools in collaboration with the clinical team to ensure effective evaluation and intervention strategies.
• Facilitate and support positive behavior support plans through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
• Engage proactively in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the quality of care provided within the agency.
• Build strong relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to secure resources and amplify program outreach.
• Promote open and effective communication, aligning with organizational goals and enhancing the overall mission of mental health advocacy.
• Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth by attending relevant workshops, conferences, and community meetings.
• Foster the integration of agency values into daily practices, promoting a unified philosophy in service delivery.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support operational success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse client population, including individuals recovering from substance use disorders, those navigating developmental disabilities, and patients with acquired brain injuries. Understanding their unique needs and challenges will be pivotal in helping these individuals achieve their personal goals and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must possess an independent LMHC License to practice in New York State.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within outpatient settings, familiarity with evidence-based practices, and a demonstrated track record of building rapport with diverse populations will be beneficial. Expertise in crisis intervention and previous engagement in multi-disciplinary teams are highly valued.
