Position Overview

The Sunshine Psychological Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (available credentials: LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) to join our expanding team. This full-time position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home, providing mental health services through telehealth while increasing access to care for individuals in Santa Clarita, California, and beyond.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, allowing counselors to connect with clients via live video sessions. You will operate in a supportive outpatient setting that encourages team collaboration while providing the flexibility needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy the autonomy of creating your own schedule from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, without the requirement of on-call work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly evidence-based therapeutic care to individual adults through secure video conferencing platforms.
• Collaborate regularly with other psychiatric professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilize technology-driven tools, including automatically administered symptom self-assessments and functional improvement measures, to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans effectively.
• Engage in collaborative case consultations and receive support from fellow counselors as necessary to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about treating diverse populations, including individuals facing complex mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The role requires cultural competence and a commitment to delivering inclusive care responsive to each patient's unique background and experiences.

Qualifications

• An accredited Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy (holding credentials as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW).
• A genuine commitment to supporting individuals at various points within their mental health journeys.
• Proficiency in using digital platforms and technology to facilitate virtual therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of recent experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions tailored to adult clients.
• A history of working with higher-risk populations or specific adult demographics, fostering a comprehensive understanding of their unique therapeutic needs.
• A welcoming demeanor and readiness to work with patients representing a wide range of mental health diagnoses.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
