Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, facilitating a healthy work-life balance while serving clients in an outpatient office environment. Our supportive framework enables counselors to deliver immediate assistance to individuals facing mental health emergencies, ensuring that they receive timely, professional care right at their fingertips. You will follow a structured work schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, while remaining engaged with your colleagues through regular team meetings and collaborative efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments for clients experiencing urgent mental health emergencies, utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic interventions.
• Provide immediate counseling support to individuals in need, offering compassionate guidance and practical solutions tailored to their specific situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response personnel to ensure client safety during crisis situations.
• Develop and implement personalized crisis intervention plans, including follow-up care strategies to facilitate ongoing support for clients.
• Utilize crisis de-escalation techniques effectively during high-stress interactions to maintain a conducive environment for healing.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance your crisis intervention skills and keep abreast of best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve clients experiencing addiction issues and other mental health challenges, including trauma, emotional distress, and suicidal ideations. Your culturally sensitive approach will be instrumental in building rapport and trust, allowing you to effectively assist clients from diverse backgrounds. The focus is not only on managing crises but also on fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships that promote long-term recovery and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing rapport with clients in distress.
• Culturally informed and empathetic with a commitment to understanding and supporting clients from all walks of life.

Preferred Experience

• Additional training or certifications in crisis counseling, trauma-informed care, or related specialty areas.
• Experience in delivering remote counseling services, utilizing digital platforms effectively to reach clients.
• Proficiency in behavioral health assessment tools and treatment planning workflows.

Compensation and Benefits
