Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Outpatient Services

Position Overview

This full-time position allows you to work remotely while providing essential mental health services to our clients. Work Environment

This position is designed for a remote setting, allowing our counselors to provide care from the comfort of their homes while interacting with clients through telehealth platforms. As part of an outpatient facility, you will collaborate with fellow mental health professionals and support staff to create therapeutic strategies that lead to positive outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine clients' mental health status and needs, setting specific therapeutic goals tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic modalities that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, using a compassionate and supportive approach to empower clients to overcome obstacles related to their mental health challenges.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.
• Refer clients to additional resources and healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and community support services, as necessary.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to enhance therapeutic skills and effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base includes individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. As a counselor, you will engage with diverse populations, ensuring that treatments are culturally sensitive and inclusive, maximizing the efficacy of your therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant mental health setting.
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment strategies, and cultural competence in providing therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and grace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
