The Balanced Being Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide exceptional care to our clients. This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while remaining in touch with our outpatient team based in Olathe, Kansas. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations, documenting client cases from the first consultation to discharge.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans that support the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients, adjusting plans as necessary based on client progress and feedback.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to provide clients with coping strategies and tools for self-improvement.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress during treatment, utilizing electronic health record systems like AVATAR for tracking and maintaining records.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate care and share vital client information.
\n
• Identify and work to mitigate behaviors that may hinder client recovery, employing proactive approaches to keep clients engaged in their treatment journey.
\n
• Actively involve family members and primary caregivers in treatment processes, providing resources and strategies to support their loved ones.
\n
• Manage referrals and ensure clients connect with necessary additional services, such as group therapy and community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be providing support to a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds who may present with mental health disorders, emotional challenges, and behavioral issues. Our clients include individuals, couples, families, and groups. By working closely with these populations, you will help to create a more resilient community through targeted interventions and compassionate care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas is required.
\n
• Successful completion and passing of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A demonstrated foundation of clinical practice with a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to enhance the management of client documents and treatment plans.
\n
• Strong knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction and their implications on mental health.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience working in outpatient mental health settings, especially with varied demographics.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• An in-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, supported by previous interdisciplinary collaboration.
\n
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that can effectively bridge cultural and individual differences.
\n
• Empathetic and exceptional interpersonal skills complemented by a genuine inclination to support and advocate for clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional incentives include a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package that consists of:
