Work Environment

Located in the heart of Hampton, Virginia, our rehabilitation facility features modern equipment and resources to optimize patient care. Being an on-site role, the Physical Therapist will work closely alongside colleagues in a collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork. Our work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance while ensuring extensive patient availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Administer therapy sessions at a capacity of one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality care for each individual.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques to improve patients' mobility and function.
• Conduct regular assessments of patient progress, modifying care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Minimize reliance on medications by recommending alternative treatments that foster long-term health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications that promote health, strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey to embrace a proactive approach to their rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance seeking treatment for various orthopedic conditions. They range from post-operative rehabilitation to preventive care, emphasizing an active lifestyle. We cater to a diverse age group, from young athletes to active seniors, all striving to regain their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and current state licensure as a Physical Therapist are required.
• Three years of prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is mandatory.
• No board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic techniques.
• Adept at developing effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, preferably WebPT, for efficient record-keeping and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While three years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is required, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapies or advanced clinical skills will be viewed favorably. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team setting is also a plus, as we believe in collaborative care.

Compensation and Benefits
