Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, meticulously reviewing medical history and performing physical assessments to set individualized treatment goals.
• Design and implement tailored treatment protocols that address the unique needs of each patient, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to enhance recovery.”
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, regularly assessing and adjusting care plans based on observable patient progress and feedback.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Meet productivity expectations while maintaining a consistent punctual schedule, and actively engage in community outreach and organizational initiatives.
• Participate in continual professional development activities, including attending workshops and serving as a clinical mentor to junior staff or students.
• Enhance patient experiences by identifying and resolving barriers to care, ensuring accessibility and understanding specific regional healthcare dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic physical therapy department primarily serves adult patients recovering from surgical procedures, injury rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and other musculoskeletal disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patient demographics, allowing for a rich and rewarding clinical experience.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Certification from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with fellow healthcare providers.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic physical therapy is advantageous but not strictly required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to patient care documentation and setting productivity goals in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
