Willow Bridge Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Newport News, Virginia. In this role, you will be integral in helping patients recover from injuries and surgeries, enhancing their mobility, and improving their overall quality of life. Your expertise will be critical in assessing patients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Willow Bridge Physical Therapy Services is a leading private orthopedic outpatient practice located in the heart of Newport News. Our facility spans an impressive 5000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology designed to facilitate advanced sports medicine healing. Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite within our modern rehabilitation center, where teamwork and patient-centered care drive all operations. You will collaborate with a small yet effective team, including two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), to provide high-quality care to our patients. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensively evaluate patients to identify their physical therapy needs and formulate customized treatment plans.
• Manage a dedicated caseload, typically one patient per hour, allowing for focused, high-quality treatment.
• Utilize your expertise in manual therapy techniques to assist patients in reducing pain and enhancing mobility.
• Develop and implement therapeutic exercise protocols congruent with evidence-based practices.
• Encourage patients to adopt lifestyle changes that promote health and rehabilitation.
• Track and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care and consult on complex cases as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes and preventive care in order to enhance their understanding and encourage compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Willow Bridge, our patient population primarily consists of individuals under private medical insurance seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery and sports-related injuries. We aim to cultivate an environment conducive to healing and empowerment, assisting patients in achieving their functional goals through tailored therapy programs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia must be obtained and maintained, free from disciplinary actions.
• Proven knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a strong ability to implement effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in patient communication, with a strong commitment to providing empathetic care.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation best practices and patient management strategies related to orthopedic conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
