Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office, where you will work alongside a collaborative team that includes one Physical Therapist Assistant and two Physical Therapists. The scheduled hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following the written and signed prescription from physicians, ensuring compliance with all relevant state guidelines.
• Utilize a variety of evaluation techniques with precision, ensuring a thorough assessment of each patient's condition.
• Design and implement personalized treatment programs aimed at meeting specific therapeutic goals, reviewing and adjusting these plans as needed based on patient progress.
• Monitor and evaluate patient tolerance and response during treatment sessions, making immediate modifications to approaches to ensure safety and efficacy.
• Execute emergency procedures effectively and respond appropriately to any clinical emergencies to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with departmental policies, utilizing tools such as EMR software like WebPT.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in chart review processes to enhance the quality of care provided.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, attending family meetings and conferences to discuss patient management and welfare.
• Perform related duties as assigned to support the clinic's mission and operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with a diverse population of patients focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and those coping with chronic pain conditions. Our practice holds a strong commitment to patient-centered care, helping each individual achieve their personal recovery goals with customized treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• An earned Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions against licensure.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing tailored exercise regimens.
• Experience with EMR systems such as WebPT and ability to navigate them efficiently to document patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in sports medicine or rehabilitation may be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
