Pro Movement Physical Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate and driven Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key player in our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will play a substantial role in helping patients regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. This position involves delivering personalized treatment plans and support for individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Located in Hampton, Virginia, our state-of-the-art 5,000 square-foot sports medicine facility is equipped with the latest technology and resources to facilitate effective treatment. Our dedicated team includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all striving to deliver exceptional patient care while fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will engage in an onsite role within our rehabilitation facility, working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The collaborative environment employs evidence-based practices, enabling therapists to employ advanced treatment methodologies while focusing on patient-centric care. Our practice emphasizes teamwork, professional development, and ongoing education for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and recognize each patient's individual goals, needs, and challenges to create tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Maintain a focused patient load of one client per hour to provide dedicated, personalized attention during treatment sessions.
• Administer cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and overall physical functioning.
• Develop and document comprehensive care plans using a range of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
• Assist in minimizing reliance on medication and promote non-surgical treatment options, thereby supporting patients' long-term health.
• Encourage adherence to therapeutic programs and healthful lifestyles through motivation and educational efforts.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and monitor patient progress with ongoing communication and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves a diverse population covered by private medical insurance. Patients seek our services for various orthopedic and musculoskeletal issues, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and preventive care. You will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journey, employing techniques that adapt to their unique medical histories and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, without any board or disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy and a solid understanding of evidence-based physical therapy practices.
• Proficiency in designing customized exercise routines that align with patient-specific needs and recovery objectives.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation of patient care.

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate should also have a minimum of three years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care, reinforcing their ability to tackle a variety of patient challenges and needs effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
