Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure that you can provide attentive, one-on-one care, fostering strong patient-therapist relationships.
• Utilize orthopedic outpatient care knowledge to implement methods and modalities that maximize patient outcomes.
• Engage in the use of cost-effective treatments to improve motion and mobility while emphasizing non-surgical solutions that reduce reliance on medication.
• Continuously develop and adjust care plans, incorporating a range of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy and specialized exercise regimens.
• Encourage patients throughout their recovery journey, providing motivation and support to help them meet their rehabilitation goals.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices that enhance strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adapt therapy techniques as necessary.
• Accurately document all patient interactions and treatment provided in accordance with EMR protocols, particularly using WebPT, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Lightning Rehab Therapy, you will primarily work with an outpatient population, which includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our patients range from active athletes seeking to enhance their performance to older adults aiming to improve mobility and maintain independence. Each patient presents unique challenges and opportunities for therapeutic intervention, creating a diverse and fulfilling caseload.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy techniques and a proven track record in developing effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for thorough documentation of treatment processes.
• A commitment to staying current with the latest physical therapy techniques, practices, and research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of alternative healthcare practices and integrative approaches to therapy.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
