Real Estate Paralegal

Job Description

Our client, a leading Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its New York City office to support a sophisticated transactional real estate practice. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong transactional experience who enjoys managing complex deals, coordinating closings, and working closely with attorneys, clients, and third-party professionals in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

\n
• Support attorneys with complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and other transactional matters
\n
• Review and analyze title commitments, title documents, surveys, zoning reports, and other due diligence materials
\n
• Prepare and maintain critical date trackers, property charts, and transaction status reports
\n
• Draft and prepare real estate and closing documents, such as deeds, assignments, affidavits, easements, releases, and related materials
\n
• Prepare and review UCC financing statements and coordinate UCC, lien, judgment, and entity searches
\n
• Coordinate transaction closings, including signatures, escrow deliveries, closing documents, and post-closing materials
\n
• Communicate with title companies, surveyors, zoning consultants, opposing counsel, clients, and other third parties
\n
• Review and summarize leases, estoppels, SNDAs, and other real estate documents as needed
\n
• Manage multiple active transactions and competing deadlines simultaneously
\n

Education and Certifications:

\n
• Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred
\n

What You Bring:

• 4+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience in a law firm environment
\n
• Experience supporting sophisticated real estate transactions
\n
• Hands-on experience with title and survey review and analysis
\n
• Experience with commercial real estate due diligence and transaction closings
\n
• Experience with UCC searches, filings, and related diligence
\n
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
\n
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and shifting deadlines
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and outside parties
\n
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
\n
