Contract Part Time Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Contract Part Time Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations. This role will assist with accounts payable, client invoicing, expense processing, credit card reconciliation, timesheet administration, and financial recordkeeping. Experience in a professional services, marketing, communications, or PR agency environment is preferred. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments for approval. Prepare and distribute accurate client invoices according to billing schedules and contract terms. Assist with overhead and departmental cost allocations. Record, categorize, and reconcile company credit card transactions. Collect, organize, and maintain financial documents, receipts, and supporting records. Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and approvals. Monitor employee timesheet submissions and follow up on missing or incomplete entries. Prepare weekly timesheet, expense, invoicing, and other financial reports. Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing or payment discrepancies. Maintain accurate and confidential financial records. Support month-end closing activities and other finance-related projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, finance administration, or a similar role, 3 - 4 years. Understanding of accounts payable, invoicing, expense reports, and credit card reconciliations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage recurring weekly and monthly deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with accounting, expense-management, timekeeping, or project-management software is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required. Schedule This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week. Hours may vary based on workload, business needs, and operational priorities. Flexibility in scheduling is appreciated. The base salary range listed represents the pay range for this role.
