Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our team at Work It PT in Monroe, New York. In this full-time role, the PTA will work collaboratively with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative services to patients in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and execute personalized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist, ensuring each patient's therapy aligns with their recovery goals.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, assist with gait training, and facilitate functional activities aimed at improving patients' mobility and reducing discomfort.
• Utilize a variety of rehabilitation techniques, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy, to enhance patient recovery.
• Monitor patient progress by documenting improvements and setbacks accurately, and communicate these findings with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide education to patients and their families concerning at-home exercise regimens and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing rehabilitation efforts.
• Maintain compliance with all facility standards and governmental regulations by ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping practices.
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to devise effective treatment strategies that maximize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will primarily work with a diverse population of patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
