Employee Relations Specialist

Abbott seeks an Employee Relations Specialist for its Corporate Human Resources division based in Abbott Park, Illinois. The role involves delivering employee relations services across multiple business units, managing case resolution, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting investigations while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Independently resolve Tier 1 employee relations cases and manage Tier 2 cases with managerial guidance
- Maintain confidential ER data accurately in systems and paper files
- Support Ethics & Compliance and Security investigations on ER-related matters
- Ensure compliance with corporate, divisional, and applicable country policies and regulations
- Meet defined service level agreements and proactively propose solutions to business requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 0-2+ years corporate HR environment experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with all employee levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Workday or similar HRIS system experience preferred
- Bilingual English-Spanish fluency preferred
Compensation: $61,300.00–$122,700.00 base
