Business Development Manager - West Coast

We’re partnering with a global technology leader in advanced communication and safety systems to recruit a remote Business Development Manager for the West Coast region . This high-impact role focuses on accelerating market growth across states including California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado . You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue within commercial and government sectors. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a track record in technical or engineered solutions and the ability to navigate complex, consultative sales cycles. Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders. Develop strategic sales plans to achieve regional growth targets. Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions. Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular market feedback. Requirements Proven experience in business development or sales within a technical, industrial, or communications sector. Strong track record of driving sales growth and managing complex accounts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently. Willingness to travel Based within the West Coast region. Key Experience Established relationships with Life Safety Providers, General Contractors, Fire Safety Professionals, and Industry Integrators. Professional attitude and interest in technology-based solutions. Strong background in solution sales and commercial skills. Ability to build robust partnerships with current and prospective partners. Demonstrated initiative and autonomy in developing a territory. Skills Energetic and committed, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, personable, with strong sales and negotiation ability. Experience in B2B sales for technology businesses (RF/Wireless, IoT, Security & Safety solutions). Adaptive and open to new ideas and projects. Capable of working independently with a positive, proactive approach. Proven experience managing channels and distribution partners in the region. Strong organizational and listening abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and presentation software. Experience with value-added technical products, ideally with a technical background. Strong academic record, preferably a degree in business management, sales, or marketing. Excellent commercial and negotiation skills. Values & Personal Qualities Strong commitment to company values.
