About The Role The Business Development Representative generates and qualifies new business opportunities for Volta — the first point of contact for prospective customers and partners exploring Volta's compute platform. This is a great entry point into AI infrastructure sales, with a direct path to growing into a closing or partnership-focused role as you build a track record. What You Will Be Doing Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound and inbound channels Research target accounts and personas relevant to Volta's compute platform Conduct initial outreach and qualification conversations with prospects Schedule and hand off qualified opportunities to account executives or business development leadership Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in the CRM Collaborate with marketing on campaign follow-up and lead generation Meet activity and pipeline generation targets consistently What You Bring Experience in a business development, sales development, or similar outbound role Strong communication and research skills Comfortable with outbound prospecting and handling early-stage objections Organised and metrics-driven, comfortable working against pipeline targets Interest in AI infrastructure or technical B2B sales is a plus
