Work Environment

This full-time position will involve onsite work in clients' homes, allowing for personalized therapy that adapts to each patient's living environment. You will primarily work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, offering you a structured schedule with predictable hours. As a member of our home care team, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare practitioners, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Our facility is equipped with the latest technologies and resources to assist in effective treatment planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and understand the unique therapeutic goals and needs of each patient through assessment and consultation.
• Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective treatment.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to design and implement personalized treatment plans that include exercises, manual therapies, and educational components.
• Administer cost-effective therapies aimed at improving patients' range of motion and functional capabilities, emphasizing non-surgical alternatives where applicable.
• Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs that empower patients to achieve their health objectives and enhance their lifestyle.
• Motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation process, providing encouragement to improve their overall functionality and health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to discuss treatment progress and consider additional needs for complex cases.
• Document your interventions thoroughly and monitor patient outcomes to ensure ongoing improvement and effectiveness of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals experiencing orthopedic issues, which may include post-operative recovery from surgeries, rehabilitation for injuries, and management of chronic conditions affecting mobility. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and specific needs of our patients is crucial to providing customized care that drives positive health trajectories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Florida.
• Clean record with no disciplinary actions suspending your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in designing effective exercise programs.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to engage diverse patient populations with empathy and understanding.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
