Work Environment

This is an onsite position that takes place in our dedicated home care facility based in Deerfield Beach. Our physical therapy practice emphasizes comfort and communication, ensuring our patients feel at ease as they engage in their rehabilitation journey. Our setting is designed to provide individualized treatment without the distractions often found in larger clinical environments. This role operates primarily on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while providing essential care to those in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively assess patient needs and establish clear rehabilitation goals tailored to individual values and physical capabilities.
• Manage a patient load of 2-3 clients per hour, ensuring that each session is focused and conducive to optimal recovery.
• Utilize your background in orthopedic outpatient therapy to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate a wide range of modalities.
• Employ proven interventions aimed at reducing pain, improving motion, and enhancing functional mobility while motivating patients through their treatment regimens.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, offering feedback and adjusting care approaches as necessary to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment methodologies accurately on our EMR system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses the diverse needs of patients.
• Incorporate educational components into your treatment sessions to empower patients in their recovery and help them lead healthier lifestyles.
• Promote wellness by designing fitness programs that enhance overall health, tailored to the unique capabilities of each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries. You will work with a diverse group, including athletes seeking to regain peak performance, older adults rehabilitating after surgeries, and individuals seeking to improve their overall functionality. Your role is central to their recovery, requiring an empathetic approach to understand and address their specific challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; a Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• Current and valid Florida Physical Therapist License with no disciplinary actions.
• Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and expertise in developing exercise regimens tailored to patient needs.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing as a collaborative team member.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with specific exposure to hands-on patient care and intervention.
• A history of successfully developing and implementing rehabilitation programs that yield measurable improvements.
• Experience working alongside diverse healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
