Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health status, involving the identification of their unique needs and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapy practices tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate therapy sessions focusing on various areas, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational issues, employing diverse therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to deliver holistic care that addresses all aspects of a client's well-being.

• Maintain meticulous and compliant clinical records in line with New York State regulations and ensure that all documentation reflects the progress and needs of your clients.

• Engage in ongoing professional development pursuits by attending workshops, webinars, and training that enhance your expertise and keep you updated on the latest advancements in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on diverse populations facing various mental health challenges. Clients may include children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing transitional life events, trauma, severe mood disorders, or relationship difficulties. A strong cultural competency and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client are essential in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

• A valid and active New York State license, such as LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.
\n
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, preferably in a telehealth setting, delivering psychological support to clients.

• Understanding ethical and legal standards relevant to mental health practice.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport and create trusting relationships with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with trauma, substance abuse disorders, or family therapy applications is highly desirable.
