Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Completing thorough assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate documentation of services in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's needs.

• Leading psychoeducational workshops and process groups that educate clients and their families on effective coping strategies and mental health awareness.

• Ensuring patient safety by actively monitoring and managing risk factors, and responding to any changes in the patient's condition.

• Finally, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to discuss discharge planning and post-discharge support for ongoing patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health disorders. Our client base reflects the rich cultural diversity of Glendale, California, and you will be expected to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the different backgrounds and experiences that each client brings to therapy.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• Proven ability to complete documentation and assessments promptly and accurately.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on effectively conveying complex concepts in simple terms.

• Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.

• Must pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
