Work Environment

Located in the heart of San Mateo, our rehabilitation facility boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As a therapist in our team, you will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for a varying caseload of orthopedic patients, assessing their physical abilities and limitations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that employ evidence-based practices, regularly updating them to reflect patient progress.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, typically managing a caseload of 1–2 patients per hour to provide focused and attentive care.
• Use WebPT and other documentation systems for accurate record-keeping and to track patient outcomes effectively.
• Collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to enhance patient care strategies.
• Provide education to patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation exercises, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Our clinic is dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages, from athletes looking to return to their sport to seniors aiming to maintain active lifestyles. Each therapist plays a crucial role in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journeys, focusing on regaining mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctorate or Master's degree is preferred.
• Possession of or eligibility for a current California Physical Therapy License.
• Demonstrated expertise in hands-on therapy techniques and a patient-centered approach to care.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery process.
• Strong organizational skills to manage patient schedules and documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Experience working with electronic medical records, specifically with WebPT, is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with a range of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
